I am a qualified and experienced humanistic counsellor. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I abide by their ethical framework. I hold current insurance and a DBS certificate.
How I can help you...
As your counsellor I offer my commitment to you and your well-being by providing a warm, safe and non-judgemental space. Here the hope is you will feel truly accepted for all that you are, which in turn will enable you to accept all aspects of yourself.
It is my belief that you know yourself best, therefore I will not take the 'expert' position, claiming to know what is best for you, but will facilitate and support the work we do together directed by you and at a pace you feel comfortable working at.
During our counselling session we will work together to better understand what has brought you to therapy and how you would like your life to be different. I work with short term (4 - 12 sessions) and long term which may be open ended.
A place to be heard...
Counselling sessions are determined by your needs, they are generally held at the same time, on the same day each week. However if this is difficult we can try to work around this.
Sessions last 50 mins and are charged at £40 per session.
I offer a discounted fee of £20 for the first session
Some concessions may be available, please contact me to discuss.
Fees are payable by card, cash or BACS
Cancellations require a minimum 48 hrs notice, otherwise a missed session will be charged at full rate.
